A total of 41 wines from Tenerife’s certificate of origin has been selected to participate in the XVII edition of the Peñín Guide that chooses the best Spanish Wines Peñín Guide. All of them have obtained 90 or more points, in order to enter the ‘excellent’ category.

Of the 73 Canarian wines- from 11 differents designation of origin- aspiring to enter the event, 56% of the wines from Tenerife have been rated as ‘excellent’, all of them with have the support of Consejería de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca of Cabildo Insular, within the Tenerife Wine program.

The chosen wines will be able to participate in IFEMA- to be held in Madrid on October 23rd and 24th. This XVIII edition of Peñín Guide renews its commitment to quality and segmentation, selecting only wines with a rating over 90 points, from more than 11,500 of the indexed wines in the 2018 edition of their Guide.

Segmentation is key in its edition of the Salon since it will dispose wineries depending on their rating: Podium Wines ( from 95 to 100 points), Unique Wines ( from 93 to 94 points) and Excellent Wines (from 90 to 92 points).
